This morning as I was driving into the cedars to fix some issues I was priviledged enough to enjoy a great sunrise.  Now it was not a full sunrise but just the glimpse of light on the horizon.  It was still dark outside and all that you could really see was the ever so faint hint of light beginning to protrude over the mountains.  As I drove and watched, my mind wandered to the amount of time that I let my world revolve around the fact that I have still have not found permanent work and how much have a missed going on around me because of that preoccupation.  Now, don’t get me wrong I have been blessed to have watched God move in more ways than I have time to tell you about in this blog but how many have I still missed due to my own distractions.   And this morning as I watched the first light beam crest the horizon I was brought to the thoughts of how when life feels sometime so dark around us and we are consummed by black and insecurity that should be when we see the Christ the best, but we sometimes stare to much into the dark.  Take a break from the dark and the consumption to stare at the light and enjoy the peace of mind that the void will soon be over.  I am not fully aware if any of that makes sense but this morning in my head it did!
