I just tried to download some songs from iTunes and a glitch in the system interrupted my downloads. Now they say it will be a day or more before they can fix it and I will get the songs. Very frustrating and prime example of my conformity to the “microwave” culture. No wonder I struggle so much to wait on God, and accept His timing.

Indeed Brother Jim will surley be missed. For the Word sayes, to be absent of the body is to be present with the Lord. Funny thing I cannot remember where to find that scripture; without Jim we will have to resort to old fashion methods… like turning the pages of the good old concordance.
Jim was a man of God and a walking concordance…one I will always miss.

My flesh cries out in pain and wishes he was still here to call upon when needed. But my spirit and my heart rejoices knowing he is now with Jesus and all the author’s of the bible. Filling himself with more scripture and receiving greater insight and even more knowledge, the stuff we here must wait to receive.

As most pastor’s like to end with a quote, I would like to share a special moment I had with Marge as we said our good-bye’s to Jim, and to quote Marge just as we are about to leave the hospital, she said, “thank you Lord for sharing Jim with me…” What a fitting and pleasing feeling I had knowing the Lord did in fact share him with me too.

Tonight was a huge blessing for Dan and myself, too. Thank you guys again for hosting the E3 group.
Doubt is one of the things that stood out for me tonight, too. After we had been home a while, Collin said he was hungry and started rummaging through the cabinets. He turned to me and said, “I want something but I know you’ll say no.” It made me sort of sad that he had it in his head that I would say no before he even asked. It made me think of all the times I’ve made God sad by having the same defeated attitude when I stand before Him in prayer.
Thanks again, for all that you and your family do for ECC. You are a blessing.

Dude, it must be in the air or the devil is in full our battle mode. Just keep that head above the sand and stay in DEFCON 5 (full battle position). To say the least, I’ve had a tough week. I wished I could pinpoint one thing and say that that is it. But, it’s been a multitude of things. It’s been piling up like “sand”! Thank you for sharing your heart. It’s comforting to know that I’m not the only person at the “beach”.
