There are times when things need to be explained and then times when they speak for themselves. As you start your week this week I wanted to send you off with some scripture that comes from our service yesterday. These will provide great hope and a wonderful reminder to you as you face this world and all of its temptations and snares.
We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might
be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he
will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will
also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
1 John 3:9
No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he
cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God.
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives
in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who
loved me and gave himself for me.
1 Corinthians 6:11
And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were
justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
